1. MAC AND CHEESE
Everyone says that ramen will be your staple in college, but honestly I got sick of ramen so fast. The taste is just not my favorite. Mac and cheese, on the other hand is so good. My personal favorite is the white cheddar mac and cheese from Trader Joes. All you need is a box of mac and cheese and a bit of milk. (Trust me it is the MOST satisfying quick meal)
2. SECLUSION IS YOUR FRIEND
It is in your best interest to do your homework alone. As much as you might want to hang out with your friends while doing work, you will get work done 5x faster. I tell you this from experience. I have stay down “doing homework” with my friends for 3 hours and have gotten half an assignment down at most.
3. JOIN SOME KIND OF ON CAMPUS ACTIVITY
I am a part of this media organization on campus as a blogger (not yet affiliated with the school). Without it, I would honestly feel so unproductive. I suggest that if you get the chance, you should join things before you even get to school because I joined PHAZE Magazine before I got to school and it is the best decision I have made since coming here. I can see big things happening for PHAZE in the future (If you want to check it out out it’s phazemagazine.com my content will be published on their soon). Join things! You won’t regret it!
4. GET YOUR SLEEP
I get so tired in classes because I stay up so late every night. Not a good habit to have (she says while currently up at almost 2am). My floor is very social and everyone is up so late so I sometimes don’t realize how late it is. So yeah… Sleep… important.
5. NEVER BE SCARED TO ASK FOR HELP
We all struggle, its inevitable to have hard times. It’s college, college is the time to learn and experience things. Of course there will be a few bumps along the road. It might be embarrassing to not understand something but, newsflash, no one is going to shame you or look down upon you for asking for help. Your professor is there to help you; go to their office hours and maximize your time to get as much help as you can. Ask people that are older than you for help because 9 times out of 10 they will be down to give you the help you need.
College is hard at times, but I helped these tips will make it just a bit easier for you to manage.
See you soon.
